A Tralee woman has lost a substantial sum of money after falling victim to an online scam.
The incident occurred on Friday last when she received a phonecall from a woman, saying she represented Amazon Prime.
The victim was persuaded to pass on her bank details, and the cash was subsequently taken from her account in seven seperate transactions.
