IT Tralee says no staff to be given professorships following merger with CIT

IT Tralee says no member of staff will be given professorships following the merger with CIT.

The Institute of Technology Tralee and Cork Institute of Technology will become the Munster Technological University in January of next year, after the Minister for Education approved their merger last month.

The university will have campuses in both Cork and Kerry.

In relation to staff, IT Tralee says there is no relationship between university designation and professorial appointments.
