A Sinn Finn councillor in the Tralee Municipal District wants the town to host a special art exhibition touring the country.
The One Million Stars Ireland project is organised by Amber Women’s Refuge to unify communities against domestic, sexual, gender-based and all forms of violence.
Councillor Deirdre Ferris said she would love to see either Tralee Municipal District, or Kerry as a whole, host this project.
She told the recent Tralee MD meeting that she attended the European Parliament on a delegation for the project, and added that everyone is aware of the work Amber Women’s Refuge does.
She called on the Community Office to investigate hosing the art project.
