A Tralee man's name and address were used without his permission to object to planning.
That’s according to Fianna Fáil councillor for the Tralee Municipal District Anne O’Sullivan.
She claimed, at yesterday’s Kerry County Council meeting, that the man had no involvement in the objection whatsoever.
A motion from independent Cllr Sam Locke, proposing that objections to a development should not be allowed from people not directly affected, is to be referred to the Housing Strategic Policy Committee for consideration.
Council officials informed Cllr O'Sullivan that 270 anonymous complaints were made to the enforcement section over the past five years:
