Traffic calming works outside Scoil Bhreac Chluain in Annascaul on the N86 begin tomorrow, October 28th.
The works will take 4 weeks to complete and traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works.
Funding of €108k was announced in March for the safety scheme, that will allow for the installation of a raised pedestrian crossing outside the the school.
This will be similar to the two crossings at the western side of Annascaul.
Local councillor Tommy Griffin has praised the efforts of the public in successfully campaigning for these safety works to take place.
