A static speed camera will come into effect on the main Killarney to Cork road from tomorrow.
An Garda Síochána has placed the camera on the N22 at Farnanes, which is between Macroom and Ballincollig, just a few kilometres after the end of the Macroom bypass.
It will come into effect at 12 midday tomorrow, Friday.
Gardaí say vehicles detected driving in excess of the speed limit will be subject to prosecution, by way of a fixed charge notice.
A fixed charge notice currently carries a €160 fine and three penalty points.
