The roundabout at Ballymullen in Tralee will be dedicated to the memory of the late owner of the Rose Hotel, Dick Henggeler.
Mr Henggeler passed away at his home in the United States last October.
Dick Henggeler and his wife Eibhlín, who’s from Killarney, bought the then-named Fels Point Hotel in 2015.
They bought it as a tribute to their late daughter Dorothy, known as Dott, who represented Washington DC in the 2011 Rose of Tralee International Festival; the Henggelers renamed the venue The Rose Hotel a year later.
County councillors in the Tralee Municipal District approved the dedication of the Ballymullen Roundabout, near the hotel, to the memory of Dick Henggeler.
