The placing of speed vans at two spots in Killarney is an unfair way of collecting revenue in quiet times.

That's the view of Cllr Donal Grady, who raised the matter at the monthly meeting of Kerry County Council.

He is calling for signs to be erected in all areas where speed camera vans are operating.

Cllr Grady says two of these zones were introduced in Killarney last year - neither of which are accident blackspots or have a history of speed-related accidents.
