Sinn Féin TD accuses Government of delaying cutting taxes on fuel

A Sinn Féin TD has accused the Government of delaying cutting taxes on fuel.

Home heating oil and fuel prices have surged since the war in Iran began; with two tankers targeted off the coast of Iraq this morning.

In Ireland, 60% of what is charged on the forecourt is applied by the Government.

Sinn Féin spokesperson on finance Pearse Doherty says ordinary people are feeling these prices rises on the back of a cost-of-living crisis.
