The services of the State Pathologists Office have been requested to attend Michael Gaine's farm at Carrig East outside Kenmare.
A crime scene has been declared at the site by Gardaí investigating the disappearance and possible homicide of Mr Gaine.
Gardaí have been at the scene since the early hours of this morning.
Its understood Gardaí were contacted by a member of a public, who had come across matter which could be human tissue, in areas of Michael Gaines farm and that this prompted them to recommence their search in the area.

Gardaí have been on site at the farm in Carrig East just outside Kenmare since first light this morning.
A number of Gardaí vehicles are present and Gardaí are moving between the farmyard and two nearby fields where slurry was spread yesterday.
At least six yellow evidence markers have been placed across the two fields where the slurry was spread.
The Garda Technical Bureau and the Office of the State Pathologist have been requested to attend the scene.
Its expected that tests will take place to determine whether the matter found is human or animal.
Pending examinations by both the Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologist, Gardai say they are not in a position to provide further information at this time.
Mr Gaine has been missing since March 21st.
