Search for missing Kenmare man enters day 10

Searches are continuing today for missing farmer Mike Gaine, who was last seen 10 days ago.

Drones will be launched by Glenderry and Iveragh Coast Guards, as the search for the missing Kenmare man continues to take place towards Avoca from Mr Gaine's farm in Carraig East outside Kenmare.

Gardaí are continuing to view CCTV and Dashcam footage as they investigate the disappearance of the missing 56 year old.

Local Councillor Dan McCarthy says that as time goes on things are getting more serious.

Kerry Mountain Rescue and members of S.A.R.D.A. Search Dog Team continued efforts at Lough Looscaunagh.

Divers from the Garda Water Unit had searched a nearby quarry and Barfinnihy Lake, located close to Moll’s Gap on the Sneem Road.

Meanwhile, Gardaí have still sealed off Mr. Gaine’s home and farmyard in the Carraig East area of Kenmare.

When last seen, Michael was wearing an orange woolly hat, black fleece, blue jeans and black boots.

Anyone with information on Michael's whereabouts is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 667 1160, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
