The search for missing man Michael Gaine has been stood down for the evening.
The 56-year-old was last seen in Kenmare last Thursday morning.
Divers from the Garda Water Unit searched a quarry close to the home of Mike Gaine earlier today, and also searched Barfinnihy Lake which is around a kilometre from the summit of Moll’s Gap on the Sneem Road this evening.
Mike Gaine’s home and farmyard on the picturesque Ring of Kerry remain sealed off and it’s understood the search involving local Civil Defence members and Kerry Mountain Rescue Team will resume tomorrow.
Gardaí say this remains a missing person investigation.
