Garda sub-aqua unit arrives in Kenmare to help in search for Michael Gaine
Michael Mike Gaine was seen on CCTV on Thursday morning, March 20th 2025

The Garda sub-aqua unit has arrived in Kenmare this morning to help in the search for Michael Gaine who was last seen six days ago.

Gardaí continue to maintain a presence on Mr Gaine's farmyard in Carrig East, Kenmare.

Several slurry tanks on the property have been emptied.

Members of the Civil Defence are also taking part in the search today for the 56-year-old farmer whose last sighting was just before 10am on Thursday, March 20th.

Mike Gaine was seen buying phone credit in the local Centra shop in Kenmare.

He was wearing an orange woolly hat, black fleece, blue jeans and black boots.

Mr Gaine's five feet 10 inches tall; he's of stocky build with brown/grey hair and a bushy beard.
