The search continues today for a humpback whale last seen on the Shannon Estuary two days ago.

The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group says the appearance of a humpback on the estuary is unprecedented.

Dr Simon Berrow is the group’s chief executive.

He’s out on the estuary looking for the humpback whale which was last seen east of Scattery island.
