Valentia Coastguard is co-ordinating a rescue off the Kerry coast.
The alarm was raised at five o'clock this evening when it was believed that five people had become stranded on Black Rock between Banna and Ballyheigue Beaches.
The rescue operation is ongoing and Banna Sea Rescue have been tasked.

Communication has been established between the stranded individuals and the rescuers.
UPDATE 6.30PM: Three teenagers stranded on the Black Rock have been rescued by emergency and voluntary services. All are safe and well.
