Ireland's oldest festival, Puck Fair begins today in Killorglin.
The celebration revolves around the crowning of a wild mountain goat as King, in honour of a tradition that can be traced back as far as 1613.
The early morning horse fair will be followed by six hours of street performances around Puck Stand, Library Place and the Square.
The events include music, circus performers and puppetry .
This year’s Queen of Puck, Robyn O'Shea, will crown King Puck this evening, after the coronation parade through the town, which begins at 5 o'clock.
Declan, Falvey, Chair of the Puck Fair Committee, is confident that the fine weather will bring a large attendance:
