Kerry County Council has given the go-ahead for a major housing development for Killarney.
Ross-Park Residential HS Limited has been granted planning permission to build 70 residential units on a site across the road from Lidl on the N72 Hans Liebherr Road.
The 70 units will include a mix of detached, semi-detached, and townhouse style dwellings.
There will also be mews buildings, which are of a terrace style.
The site is situated on the N72 Hans Liebherr Road, between the Cleeny and Ballydowney roundabouts, on the opposite side of the road to the Lidl store.
The company has also been granted permission to demolish an existing dwelling house and to decommission an existing septic tank, which are both on site, to build the new units.
In its planning statement, the company’s agents said the proposed development will provide a high-quality residential development, and it will positively contribute to housing delivery and the appropriate expansion of Killarney.
Kerry County Council granted permission for the development subject to 36 conditions.
