Planning for 245 homes in Tralee appealed

Planning permission to build 245 homes in Tralee has been appealed to An Coimisiún Pleanála.

Kerry County Council granted permission to the Kenmare based developer, KPH Construction, for the large-scale residential (LSR) project in September.

The development, opposite the old racecourse, on Clash Road , Muing East in Tralee would include 245 one, two, three and four bedroom semi-detached and terraced houses homes.

This figure comprises of 40 three-bed and 18 four-bed semi-detached houses, 105 three-bed terraced units, and  40 one-bed, and 42 two-bed, two-storey, own-door maisonettes or apartments.

Planning was also granted for a two-storey crèche as part of the development.

Two local residents appealed this decision, have earlier warned of the potential for traffic delays.

Submissions or observations in relation to the appeal may be made in writing to the An Coimisiún Pleanála by the 23rd October on the payment of the appropriate fee.

The case is due to be decided by 22nd January next.
