A new pilot programme has been launched in Kerry schools to deal with the issue of burnout among principals.
Education Minister Helen McEntee was speaking at the Irish Principals' Network conference in Killarney yesterday.
She spoke of the complex issues that principals face, particularly in smaller schools, in terms of staff shortages and administration volume.
Minister McEntee says that the pilot programme in the county and nationwide allows clusters of schools to pool resources and ideas to work with each other.
