The CEO of Pieta says the decision to close its Kerry centre was due to the cost of rents and overheads.
Chief executive of the suicide prevention charity Stephanie Manahan says Pieta is not leaving Tralee and is working to secure a new location in the town in the coming months.
She says they're looking at basing Pieta services in a community hub or similar set up.
Administrative staff - some two employees - at the Moyderwell centre look set to lose their jobs; consultation on this is in place.
Stephanie Manahan says last year, 400 people in Kerry availed of Pieta's services.
She says the charity's therapeutic services have been safeguarded.
