A young person has been identified as part of an investigation into an alleged incident of criminal damage in Tralee town park last week.
Stones were allegedly repeatedly thrown at the Rose Wall until it shattered, causing approximately €9,000 worth of damage.
The incident happened last Tuesday evening, at around 5.40, causing a huge public outcry.
Gardaí were looking for a young male wearing blue shorts and a t-shirt.
They say CCTV footage captured in the town park was instrumental in identifying the person, and thanked all those who assisted in the inquiry.
