Over €43,000 awarded for literacy projects in Kerry

Over €43,000 (€43,773) has been allocated for literacy projects in Kerry.

The funding was announced by Further Education Minister James Lawless and Mister of State Marian Harkin.

It’s part of €1 million in funding nationwide, aimed at addressing unmet adult literacy needs.

Some of the initiatives receiving funding in Kerry include ‘Lets Stitch Together’, a creative sewing project designed to improve literacy and digital skills and ‘Many Languages, One Voice’, a peer-led linguistics initiative.
