The State Examinations Commission (SEC) intends to issue the 2025 Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied examination results to candidates on Friday, 22 August.
The Department of Education has tasked the SEC with implementing a gradual return to normal Leaving Certificate outcomes beginning in 2025.
To do this it will apply a post-marking adjustment to bring the overall Leaving Certificate results in the aggregate to a midway point between the 2020 and 2021 levels.
Quarter of all candidates will benefit from reasonable accommodations for those with special educational needs (SEN) such as a pilot digital paper scheme, and extended time.
The 2025 deferred Leaving Certificate examinations for students who suffer a serious illness, accident or injury or close family bereavement will run from 25 June to 12 July.
