Over 3,583 dog licences were issued in Kerry during the first quarter of 2025.
That represents a drop of 13.5% during the same period last year, when 4,145 dog licences were issued in the county.
Figures compiled by Kerry County Council, show that 16 fines relating to dogs were issued in the first three months of this year.

The council also re-homed 23 dogs between January and the end of March.
