Over 1,400 (1,415) in Kerry are awaiting occupational therapy services.
That’s according to figures provided to Sinn Féin TD Pa Daly, in response to a parliamentary question.
It shows 722 children are on the waiting list for occupation therapy in the county, while almost 700 (693) adults are awaiting treatment.
Deputy Daly highlighted concerns around the delays, in particular a paediatric case dating back to October 2023.
He urged the government to prioritise waiting times in Kerry; adding families have waited long enough and deserve access to care and supports.
