Over 1,400 dog licences issued in Kerry in January

Over 1,400 (1,444) dog licences were issued in Kerry in January.

Figures compiled by Kerry County Council, show that four fines relating to dogs were issued during the same period.

The council also rehomed 16 dogs during the first month of the year.

Last year, more than 15,000 (15,692) dog licences were issued, and 155 dogs were rehomed by the council.
