Over 1,300 dog licences issued in Kerry in January

Over 1,300 (1,353) dog licences were issued in Kerry in the first month of this year.

Figures compiled by Kerry County Council, show that three fines relating to dogs were issued during the same period.

The council also rehomed eight dogs during January.

Last year, the council issued over 15,500 dog licences in Kerry and 140 dogs were rehomed in Kerry during all of last year.
