Over 1,200 premises in the greater Glencar area can now connect to high-speed fibre broadband under the National Broadband Plan (NBP).
This includes the rural townlands and surrounds of Killorglin and Caragh.
In total, €107 million will be spent giving 28,000 premises in Kerry the option of fibre broadband.
Under the plan, over 26,300 homes, farms and businesses throughout Kerry can now order this high-speed broadband.
To date, more than 7,300 (7,539) connections have been made in the county.
