No Fourth of July parade in Killarney says Palestine support group

Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce says it’s no comment to make on a statement alleging that there’ll be no Fourth of July parade in the town this year.

The Killarney for Palestine group says the chamber will instead hold a ‘Summer in Killarney Festival’.

It says this event will have no direct focus on celebrating the United States.

The group says the chamber made the decision following community protest.

Killarney for Palestine says the parade has become untenable given that the US is providing full military and political support for the destruction of Gaza.
