Deputy Daly says no affordable housing was provided under the local authority Affordable Purchase Scheme in Kerry in 2024 and just one property was delivered in the Cost Rental Tenant in Situ Scheme.
The average rent in Kerry has jumped by 64% over the last five years according to the Deputy Daly.

This comes as the Department of Housing released their latest homeless report for March with record breaking figures.

These figures do not include those sleeping rough, couch surfing, staying in domestic violence refuge or un-accommodated asylum seekers.
