A new sea turtle hospital is set to open in Kerry to cope with the rising number washing up on southwest shores.
Oceanworld in Dingle is hoping to open Ireland's first dedicated North Atlantic Sea Turtle hospital, equipped with warm water tanks.
Five cold-stunned sea turtles have landed on the coast of Kerry so far this year, with marine heatwaves and climate change blamed for the rise, according to the Irish Daily Star.
