A new report has outlined several potential risks that climate change poses to the World Heritage Site, Sceilg Mhichíl.
The climate vulnerability assessment and report was developed by the National Monuments Service and the OPW in partnership with the National Geographic Society.
Risks for Skellig Michael include damage to the monastic structures on the island, the impact higher ocean temperatures may have on breeding birds, and soil erosion.
The report also says that measures to reduce the impact of climate change - including addressing rock fall - have helped to reduce risks.
There'll be more on this on the Kerry Today show with Jerry O'Sullivan after 9.
