The N71 between Killarney and Kenmare has reopened.

Kerry County Council closed the section between the entrance to Dinis Cottage and Molls Gap on December 13th for roadworks.

It was to facilitate repairs and maintenance works at the Newfoundland Bay Tunnel.

The council says the road reopened to traffic this morning.
