A multi agency effort took place earlier this afternoon to assist a woman who fell and broke her ankle on the cliff walk at Binn Bán beach.
Glenderry Coast Guard unit were surveying the area where a French fishing vessel remains aground when their drones detected the woman in distress.
The combined efforts of Glenderry and Dingle Coast guards stretchered the woman to the beach car park, where she was taken by ambulance to Kerry University Hospital.
the alarm was raised just before 1pm and the woman was brought to the ambulance within the hour.
Valentia Coast Guard has thanked the volunteers of Glenderry and Dingle Coast Guards for their efforts.
