MTU Kerry students are taking part in nationwide protest today.
They are walking out of lectures to call for fair and equal funding in the Technological University sector.
Their demands include the implementation of a TU borrowing system, mainly for the construction of student accommodation.

Other issues include increasing postgraduate stipends, resourcing Professorships, and increasing funding for courses taught through Irish.
MTU Kerry Student President Cian McGrath says that 'it seems TU's have been completely ignored' in the government's funding allocation.
