Minister of State Michael Healy-Rae has dismissed claims that major roads funding for Kerry was directed by Fianna Fáil.
Yesterday, over half a billion euro was announced for projects in the Kingdom - under the Department of Transport’s revised National Development Plan.
Fianna Fáil TD for Kerry, Michael Cahill stated that as the largest party in government, his party hold all the cards in investment.
Deputy Cahill added that Kerry is seeing this progress as it has two Fianna Fáil TD’s; and stated non-party members claiming credit is hoodwinking the public.
Minister of State Healy-Rae rejects this, saying the funding wouldn’t have happened without the Healy-Raes at the table.
