The Minister for Equality says the fuel support scheme for farmers and contractors will help to mitigate the impact of recent sharp rises in prices.
The scheme opened today and will offer support worth €100 million to farmers and contractors.
The Fuel Subsidy Support Scheme will benefit 120,000 farmers and 5,000 contractors.

Minister Norma Foley has welcomed the opening if the scheme.
