The doctor who revealed the South Kerry CAMHS scandal, Dr Maya Sharma, will speak in Leinster House today.
Today is World Whistleblowers Day in recognition of people who report wrongdoing and poor practice in organisations and governments.
Consultant psychiatrist Dr Sharma exposed the over-medication and inappropriate treatment of patients at South Kerry CAMHS.

Following the disclosures, two independent reviews found hundreds of young people in Kerry’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) had been harmed or put at risk of harm because of unsafe practices.
Dr Sharma says her reputation as a whistleblower has made it impossible to find work in any publicly-funded service.
