This morning marks six weeks since Kenmare farmer Michael Gaine was last seen.
Mr Gaine, who's 56, was last seen in Whyte's Centra, Kenmare on Thursday, March 20th just before 10am.
Gardaí are now treating his disappearance as a homicide.
At a press conference in Kenmare, Supt John Ryan from Killarney Garda Station said the investigation, to date, has included over 320 formal enquries and 130 witnesses statements.
2,200 hours of CCTV and dashcam footage have also been examined.
Supt Ryan believes there are people out there who know what happened to Mike Gaine.
Yesterday's media briefing also included a video appeal from Mike Gaine's wife Janice and sister Noreen O'Regan.
They reiterated their appeal for privacy, and appealed to anyone who can help gardaí to come forward.
His sister Noreen O'Regan said Mike is much loved and his disappearance has been devastating.
