The family of missing Kenmare farmer Michael Gaine have appealed for privacy as the search for him enters its 20th day.
Gardaí and members of the Civil Defence and Defence forces are continuing their search of Carrig East and surrounding areas for Mr Gaine who went missing on March 2oth
There has been intense media coverage of the case as the search for Mike Gaine has developed over the past number of weeks.
His family has this morning appealed for privacy following some of the media reports in recent days that they say have caused distress in what is already a very distressing situation for them.
They have thanked the local community for the support over the past few weeks as well as Gardaí, The Defence Forces and Kerry Mountain Rescue and other civil groups for their efforts in the search.
Meanwhile, Gardaí are continuing to appeal to people who travelled on the N71 on Thursday 20th March, after 9:48am, and anyone with dash-cam or CCTV, from March 20th and 21st to contact them.
