Kerry TD Michael Healy-Rae wouldn’t comment on whether there would be a pact with his brother Danny at the next election.
Speaking on Radio Kerry this morning, Deputy Michael Healy-Rae said the words used by his brother Danny in the lead-up to April’s vote of confidence in the government, cost Kerry a ministry.
Michael says Team Healy-Rae has been damaged and says it was a bad day for Kerry when he lost his junior ministry.
In the past two general elections, the Healy-Raes have divided up the county with a voting strategy to ensure both brothers had the best chance of being elected.
When asked on Kerry Today by Jerry O’Sullivan if that political cooperation would continue with his brother, Michael Healy-Rae says reliability is everything to him:
Following Michael Healy-Rae’s resignation as a Minister of State, there were questions raised about whether the Healy-Raes had a two-for-one deal with the Government.
