Kerry Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae has said the words used by his brother Danny in the lead-up to April’s vote of confidence in the government, cost Kerry a ministry.
After the fuel protests in April, Deputy Danny Healy-Rae told Radio Kerry that Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael backbenchers should topple their leaders.
The next day, Michael Healy-Rae resigned as Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture to vote no confidence in the government.
This was Michael Healy-Rae’s reaction on Kerry Today this morning with Jerry O’Sullivan, to the audio of his brother Danny saying that Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael should get rid of their leaderships.
