The suspect in the Michael Gaine homocide investigation is reported to have withdrawn a formal complaint he made to Fiosrú, the Office of the Police Ombudsman.
Michael Gaine was reported missing from his home in Carraig East outside Kenmare on March 20th and his case was upgraded to a homicide investigation in late April.
It's reported that Michael Kelley's complaint was based on his interaction with the Gardaí prior to his arrest in May.
However, according to an article in today's Irish Independent, his complaint to the garda watchdog has been withdrawn.
Gardaí say that they cannot comment on today's media report, or any third party publication.
They are continuing a live and very active investigation into the murder of Michael Gaine.
