Met Éireann is warning of an increased chance of wildfires as the warm weather continues.

A status yellow high temperature warning remains in effect in Kerry and in 19 counties until 6am tomorrow.

The National Parks and Wildlife Service and local fire crews battled a major blaze in Killarney National Park in recent days, which was reportedly caused by disposable barbecues.

Over 20 hectares of the national park was damaged in the fire in Killarney.
