The Mayor of Tralee has said the town’s courthouse is ‘treated like a public toilet’.
Labour Cllr Terry O’Brien called for the condition of the building to be addressed at the recent Tralee MD meeting.
He said inspite of the potential for the courthouse to be moved to a new location, the current building needs to be up-kept and treated with respect.
He urged Kerry County Council to make improvements where possible, particularly along the footpath in front of the building.
Cllr O’Brien added that the flower pots on Courthouse Lane are ‘a waste of time’ and asked that they be removed.
The motion was seconded by Fine Gael Cllr Angie Bailey.
