There has been a marked increase in the number of vulnerable road users not wearing high visibility clothing.
That's according to Kerry County Council's road safety officer, Declan Keogh.


He says council workers have received, as well as personally witnessed, many pedestrians, cyclists and scooter-users putting themselves at risk by wearing dark clothes at low light.
Mr Keogh says the council will now distribute free high visibility vests to interested road users:
