Man further remanded in custody in relation to alleged attempted robbery of Tralee bookies

A Kerry man who had his High Court bail revoked has been remanded in custody for two weeks.

John Paul Farrell of Muckross Road, Killarney appeared before Tralee District Court via video-link from Cork Prison.

The 47-year-old is charged with attempted robbery, contrary to common law, at Boylesports on Edward Street in Tralee, on November 1st.

Sergeant Chris Manton told Judge David Waters that the book of evidence is not yet available in the case.

Mr Farrell’s solicitor, Padraig O’Connell, outlined that his client is anxious for the matter to be progressed.

Judge Waters further remanded him in custody to appear before the court on February 18th for DPP directions.
