Two major international symposiums taking place in Kerry this week, focused on adapting physical activity for those with additional needs, will finish tomorrow.
ISAPA 2025, or the International Symposium of Adapted Physical Activity and the International Symposium on Physical Activity and Visual Impairment or Deafblindness combined five different events.
It began at Munster Technological University's (MTU) Tralee North Campus on Monday and ends tomorrow, Friday.
Head of the School of Health and Social Science at MTU Kerry, Dr Michael Hall is one of the organisers of the UNESCO events taking place at Kerry Sports Academy.
Dr Hall says the experts have presented their work in this field throughout the week:
Dr Hall also serves on the board of Effective Aid Ukraine, a charity that supports people with special needs living in institutions in Ukraine.
As part of the symposium, he brought Ukrainian delegates to visit 'Inspired', a not-for-profit organisation based in Kerry, as an example of international best practice in empowering adults with additional needs.
