Local residents concerned about the facts emerging from fatal crash near Newcastle West

The Cathaoirleach of Newcastle West Municipal District says locals are concerned about the facts that are emerging from a fatal crash in the area last week.

The fatal crash happened on the N21 between Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale on June 8th around 11pm; a firearm was recovered from the scene.

It’s believed the man who died, who has since been named as Axel Liebsch Morales, was a hitman hired to carry out a revenge murder; he was aged in his 30s.

The Irish Examiner is reporting that the only people in a house in West Limerick that was to be targeted by an alleged hitman were two pensioners.

Cllr Michael Collins is the Cathaoirleach of Newcastle West Municipal District.

He is urging people with any information on the whereabouts of the driver who fled the scene to contact Gardaí:
