The company operating the Rose of Tralee Festival has repaid a loan of over €96,000 provided by one of its shareholders Richard Henggeler, the High Court has heard.
Mr Henggeler had commenced proceedings against the Kerry Rose Festival Ltd a year ago seeking repayment of the loan.
Mr Henggeler, who is a 31.1% shareholder in the Kerry Rose Festival company initially made the loan in 2014 and 2015 the court was told.
His barrister Gary McCarthy, told Mr Justice David Nolan that the loan was repaid last week.
Mr Justice Nolan awarded Mr Henggler the costs of his action, after finding that he was justified in initiating the proceedings.
In a separate case Mr Henggler is suing the chief executive of the Kerry Rose Festival, Anthony O' Gara, alleging shareholder oppression.
This case is also being taken against another director, John McCarthy, and is expected back before the High Court next month.
Mr Henggler is seeking various reliefs in his action, including orders requiring Mr O' Gara and Mr McCarthy to sell their shares in the Festival to him.
